Welcome to Gladsax Gårdshotell

In Österlen, just outside Simrishamn, the old village of Gladsax rests quietly — a place where time seems to move at a gentler pace.
 
Here, we have created a small, personal hotel for guests seeking stillness, light and a close connection to the surrounding landscape. Four spacious rooms await, each with its own private terrace, where the sun lingers and the evenings settle in at their own gentle pace. A stay for those looking for more than just a place to sleep.
 

Mornings begin in our kitchen or out on the terrace, with breakfast served in calm and easy company. Each morning, we offer freshly baked bread. During the day, you can borrow a bicycle and follow the winding roads towards the sea, through villages and open fields. And when evening falls, books, magazines and the quiet keep you company — here, screens are left to rest.

We welcome guests aged 18 and over, and have chosen to keep our house pet-free in order to preserve its calm and peaceful atmosphere.

In the summer months, the village restaurants are just a short stroll away. Perhaps you will linger a little before dinner, over a game of boule or in the quiet warmth of the conservatory. And sometimes, when time allows, we are happy to drive you to a restaurant outside the village.
 
Here, there is space simply to be.

About us

Two people with a shared idea and a longing to live in a different way. For a long time, we had dreamed of creating something together — a hotel.

That dream brought us from Stockholm to a village in Österlen. We were searching for peace and quiet, evening sun, open views and a generous garden — while still being close to local services and the sea.

Gladsax became our choice, and here we have found a place where we truly feel at home — thanks to both the people and the surroundings. The farm we bought needed plenty of love to become the kind of hotel we ourselves would want to stay in.

Today, we are delighted to welcome you to the hotel we dreamed of creating.
